    Andjelija Ivkov Dzigurski Ph.D.

    Born: March 16, 1974, in Zrenjanin

    Education:
    Undergraduate Studies: University of Novi Sad, Institute of Geography, Department of Geography Education. Graduated in 1998 with an average grade of 9.47.
    Master's Studies: Institute of Geography, Teaching Department, average grade 9.83; successfully defended the master's thesis in 2001.
    PhD: Defended the doctoral dissertation in 2005 titled “Population as a Factor in Tourism Development in Vojvodina.”

    Work Experience:
    Since January 1999, engaged in teaching and scientific research at the Department of Geography, Tourism, and Hospitality at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, and since 2024, engaged in teaching at the Academy of Hospitality, Tourism, and Wellness in Belgrade.
    Organized 57 thematic humanitarian events with students within the subject of Animation and Logistics in Tourism and Hospitality.
    From 2007 to 2013, served as the President of the Commission for the Adoption of Standards in the Field of Tourism and Related Services (ISO/TC 228, Tourism and Related Services) at the Institute for Standardization of Serbia, which is a direct member of the International Commission ISO/TC 228, Tourism and Related Services.
    Member of the Rural Tourism Group and the Event Organizers Group within the Tourism and Hospitality Association of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce since 2010. In 2008, was a member of the Board of the Tourism and Hospitality Association at the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.
    Since 2013, a member of the editorial board of the journal "Universal Journal of Management" (USA) and multiple organizational committees of domestic and international conferences.
    Holds the CEF B2.1 certificate – Common European Framework and the certificate “Teaching and Academic Writing in English.”
    Has been a member of research teams or a project leader in around 40 scientific projects.

    Included in the project of the Provincial Executive Council (Department of Culture) and the Faculty of Sciences “Tourist Guides of Vojvodina.”
    Included in the project “Content and Spatial Concept of Ethno Villages and Related Tourism Complexes,” under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Serbia, the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, and the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina.
    Project leader for three projects “Folklore Heritage in Tourism of Banat,” “Folklore Heritage in Tourism of Bačka,” “Folklore Heritage in Tourism of Srem,” Faculty of Sciences, Department of Geography, Tourism and Hospitality, and the Provincial Secretariat for Education and Culture.
    Included in the project “Education Program for Revitalization of Rural Areas through the Connection of Agriculture, Ethno Heritage, and Tourism” (2008).
    Included in the project to create the “Gastronomy Guide of Vojvodina” as a co-author of the text, the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, and the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.
    Project leader of the project “Thematic Evenings as a New Type of Tourist Animation in Novi Sad.”
    Included in the INTERREG-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Hungary – Serbia project “Development of Water Tourism on Waterways Connecting Hungary and Serbia” (WATERTOUR; HUSRB/1602/31/0204).
    Member of the team for the project approved by the APV Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Program 0201, titled “Researching Entrepreneurial Potentials among the Local Population for the Use of Thermal Mineral Waters in Vojvodina,” project number: 142-451-3467/2023-02 (2021–2024).
