Dejan Vuletić Ph.D.

Dejan Vuletić graduated from the Military Academy in Belgrade, specializing in telecommunications, in 1995. He continued his academic advancement at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, where he defended his master's thesis, "Information Warfare in Modern Conflicts", in 2005. In 2009, he earned a Doctor of Technical Sciences degree by defending his doctoral dissertation, "Cybercrime and the Possibility of Its Detection," at the same faculty.

Since 2006, he has been employed at the Institute for Strategic Research of the University of Defense in Belgrade, where he currently serves as the Head of the Defense Studies Department and the Deputy Director of the Institute.

Throughout his academic and research career, Dejan Vuletić has mentored final thesis projects for participants in the Advanced Security and Defense Studies program, as well as for cadets at the Military Academy. He has also served as a committee member for doctoral dissertation defenses at the Faculty of Security Studies and the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade.

He has led several significant research projects, including:

• "Defense Against Threats in Cyberspace",

• "Guidelines for Developing a Cybersecurity Strategy",

• "Protection of Critical Information Infrastructures",

• "The Physiognomy of Modern Armed Conflicts".

In addition to leading research, he has participated as a team member in multiple scientific projects, most notably the research project "Managing New Security Risks – NEWSIMR&D", funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia under the "Ideas" program.

He is the author and co-author of several monographs in the field of cybersecurity and modern security threats, including:

• "Defense Against Threats in Cyberspace" (author),

• "Security in Cyberspace" (author),

• "Modern Terrorism" (co-author),

• "The Physiognomy of Modern Armed Conflicts" (co-author).

In the field of higher education, Dejan Vuletić has been a lecturer at the Military Academy for many years, teaching the following courses:

• "Computer System Protection",

• "E-Business",

• "Fundamentals of Web Programming".

He has also been engaged as a lecturer at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, where he taught "Cyber Forensics" as part of the specialist academic studies program. Additionally, as a visiting professor, he has taught the course "The Use of the Internet for Criminal and Political Purposes" at the Faculty of Political Sciences.

His expertise in cybersecurity is further recognized through his role as a reviewer for numerous academic journals, including:

• "International Problems",

• "Military Affairs",

• "Military Technical Journal",

• "Temida",

• "Security",

• "Sociological Review",

• "National Security Policy".

Furthermore, he is a member of the editorial board of the academic journal "International Problems".

Through his academic and research career, Doc. Dr. Dejan Vuletić has made significant contributions to the fields of cybersecurity, information technology in the security sector, and strategic defense studies.
